Temple Air-Chrome
Temple Model 20 Air-Chrome speaker.

Air-Chrome speakers have a stretched fabic diaphragm. It can be accessed in this speaker by pulling off the rear decorative cover.

The heavy driver inside is supported by a fragile pot-metal frame. This pot-metal frame usually breaks if anyone trys to ship it somewhere.

Thermatrol
Thermatrol cone speaker.

Made be Thermatrol Manufacturing Company during the later 1920s in Sprinfield, Massachusetts, this is a miniature speaker with the original 4-1/2 inch paper cone and a 650-ohm horseshoe magnet type driver.
Timmons Talker
Timmons Talker, Early Version horn speaker.

The Timmons Talker uses an adjustable horn driver with a long narrow straight horn screwed directly onto the driver and pointing straight back into the cabinet. A large square metal horn fits inside the cabinet, facing forward, so that the sound out of the narrow horn reflects back out of the large horn.
Timmons Talker Type A
Timmons Talker Type A horn speaker.

Basically the same as the early version but with a more decorative wood cabinet.
Tower Adventurer Cone
Tower Manufacturing Company manufactured the following four speakers in their Boston factory.

The Tower Adventurer Cone is made of cast iron with a painted finish and has the original 17-inch blue/gold marbled paper cone. The horseshoe magnet type of driver impedance is 1000 ohms. This was advertised in 1927 along with a series of other cast iron cone speakers.

Tower Castle Cone
The Tower Castle Cone frame is cast iron with a two-tone bronze finish and has the original 17-inch blue/gold marbled paper cone. The design depicts a medieval castle up on a hill with two herald trumpet players in the foreground. The 'Tower' name appears cast into the base of the speaker and also is printed on the back side of the paper cone. Impedance of the horseshoe magnet driver is 1000 ohms. It was advertised in 1927.

Tower Meistersinger Horn Speaker
The Tower Meistersinger is a horn speaker enclosed in a wood cabinet with a reddish-brown swirled celluloid front panel with gold cloth behind it. There is a driver adjustment knob on the side.
Tower Midget Horn Speaker
The Tower Midget is a tiny horn speaker made of reddish-brown swirled celluloid with a speaker driver built into the base. There is a driver adjustment knob on the bottom.
Town Crier
The Town Crier horn speaker.

The Town Crier, manufactured by Gale Radio Laboratories in Chicago, is made of pottery. This was advertised as 'Radio's Most Beautiful Speaker' in 1925.

Trutone Type A
Trutone Type A horn speaker.
Made by Sadler Manufacturing Company in San Francsco. This 'Type A' was designed to use "any make of Two-Phone Receivers" to drive the horn. The base has two rubber pieces that headphones fit against. Height = 24 inches. This sold for $8.00 in about 1924.
